What's the difference between making animated wallpapers and screensavers?
I am making animated wallpapers and screensavers for one of my customers. I know how to do animated wallpapers, but I have never made screensavers for mobiles before. Is it the same process to make a gif-screensavers as making an animated gif-wallpaper? I have specifications for the dimension, the filesize and the maximum number of frames. What more should I think about when making a screensaver?

that it will only run for like 1-20 seconds, so don't make it to long or continous. wallpaper have to continue, screensavers don't

My customer MediaPlazza wants gif screensavers. I have already made animated wallpaper according to their specifications. The specifications are for the dimension and the filesize.
These are about the same for the animated wallpapers and the screensavers, with some small differences. So can I use the same gif-animations that I have made for the animated wallpapers for the screensavers, if I just remake them with the right dimension and filesize? It just seems too simple, don't I have to do something more with gif-animations to make them work as screensavers? |
