Why is MiTAC Mio 8380so slow?

I have had Mitac mio and it was so slow.It need 5 minutes to turn on,and 30seconds to turn off?Science there is no such thing as an upgrade(in my country,or Croatia),what should I do about it(now it belongs to my friend)?

There was no reply,only some story about the phone.And,as they say,it should be in shops in Europe in the end of 3Q?How did I then get my phone???
