My beloved P910i has been sold today for roughly $625 U.S dollars appx(2300 dirhams - UAE currency).
i used the phone for around 5 weeks. taging between in and the S700. at the end i decided the S700 should stay. i wont get into detail on the P910 complaints, but i mainly sold it for dissliking opening the flip open/close for small and short tasks, AND mainly having to use the stylus to hit "enter/send" to confirm option or sending SMS/MSN messages. at this point, i'm very curiouse to see what SE would do to improve upon the P900/P910 with the P1000(if that's what they're calling it). My S700 is staying(can't resist that sexy design), and most importantly i'm getting the Nokia 6630 3G when it comes out in a few of weeks. so long P910, it was nice knowing you ![]() To "rpeep" and "Nutzu1", sorry guy's i found a buyer that is located in the same country(UAE), which saved me all the hassle of having to ship it overseas and pay extra shipping charges. Goodluck! Marwan |

why man?! WHY?!?!?!?! seriously, good on you. but if you want a 3g phone get one with proper videocalling (if you think of using it) and maybe a proper type of card-slot like an SD-slot. i know i am. if you don't want proper video vallinng it should be an excelllent, if you don't mind the look. UGH!

6630 looks dont bother me, at least it's small and easily fits in a pocket. I dont care for video calling, i mainly want 3G to surf the net, sending emails and send out 1.3MP pics without having to wait for too long. Also, Symbian 8 is very promising. Not to mention that now i truely value series 60 phone menus ![]() |

I am with you Marwan - the P910i is doing my head in!!
It is so irksome and fiddly to use for very simple tasks which I can fly through on my Nokia 6230. Trouble is, do I keep my 6230 or go back to my 8910i?? Hang on, this is turning into a Nokia thread... ![]() |

exactly my point RMAUK123, you have to go through a long process to execute certain things on the P900/P910, when the same things can be done much faster on any other phone(series 60 has the best and shortest steps) which brings up another point, i have the S700 and love it very much, but i'm starting to have withdrawls about it being not soo expandable(J2ME) sucks. I love the phone so much, but it's just not cutting it for me. I will ofcourse keep it, but a series 60 phone(6630) is a must once i find a place that sells it. You see, i have a few MP3s on my S700, around 20 1.3MP pics, 6 voice tags(for speed dial) and my S700 is getting very slow! this wont be the case with a series 60 phone. as a matter of fact, when i recive a call and hit the "answer" button, it takes about 5 seconds for the god damn phone to retrieve the call! aaggghhhhh been driving me mad!anyways, this is not an SE vs Nokia argument, i love both, but i just wanna say that the S700 let me a down a little! and btw, avoid touchscreen devices like the plague! they take forever to accomplish short tasks! I vote 6230....unless you could get another phone. 6630? ![]() Last edited by marwan : 11-02-2004 at 05:53 PM. |

I won't deny that P900/P910 had that shortage when it comes to these functions. But being a salesman in a pda shop for almost 3 years. I can say, ifu guys happen to hav one week to spend with all touch screen communicators in the market, i.e. Treo 650, MDA/XDA/iMate, hp6365..... etc
You guys would have found out Pxx series is already a great step away from them. Maybe what u guys emphasizes is the speed of doing things while ur phone is in idle mode, or it's in the pocket. And u'll hav to go thru stylus out, flip open blablabla... but in terms of productivity while using such a device for a certain amount of time, i do think Series 60 is uncapable of matching up to these touch screen devices. i myself do experience the let down in which there's no twiching of the software from the P900 to P910, but given that i understand the way while using communicators. I'm still ok with. marwan, rmauk123: try getting urselves the highly acclaimed Treo 600 for one week and play with it, you'll know what i meant by then. ![]()

how can you say avoid touch screens? the new motorola e680 is a 300mhz beast and it doesnt lag at all. and its so easy to use. i was 99% going to buy it but no megapixel cam turn me away and made me buy the s700.
