K700 address book problems

Hi, this is my first time posting in this forum. I have a k700 on the orange network, this morning the phone froze. After restarting the phone I'm now unable to access my address book, so I can not retrieve any of my contacts...when you select 'Address Book' it shows that it's trying to 'opening address book' but it doesn't seem to find anything!! However I can still access my pics & vids. Has anyone else had this problem, do you guys think this is a network, sim, or phone problem? Thanks.

Thought I'd let you know that the problem has now been sorted!. I had to remove sim and wipe clean all the contacts on the phone, after about 3 attempts things now seem to work as before. cheers.
