. Um, how old is the phone? It may be due to a loose battery connection.

Go to the nearest place in which you can upgrade your firmware (If there is cause I ain't too sure) or check for your battery connection. Sometimes it gets kinda loose

No, I don't think its very natural my dad's T230 is quite older than that and has only done it once so there is something wrong with your set.

If it's still only 2 months old you should try and return it to the carrier (or wherever you got it from) to see if you can get it exchanged under warranty. Anyway, SE (and Nokia) both tend to put out pretty decently built, stable phones; not to say that they are always perfect but they wouldn't be in business if they constantly turned out crap that was always breaking down. If people try and tell you otherwise, they are probably obsessed with whatever brand of phone you don't have and think that insulting whatever you may have is somehow going to convert you. Given your description of the story and the advice of others on this forum, are you really sure it's not a battery issue? I don't recall how the battery attaches to the T230 (whether it becomes the back of the phone or if it is has a cover)...but if you can shake or move the battery or back cover while the phone is on, then your problems might be due to the battery sometimes coming loose (as other people have mentioned) - try folding a small piece of paper and putting it in between the battery and the phone; this should not allow the battery to move around and you might notice your phone crashing far less frequently. Good luck! |

so, the paper thing is or isn't making a difference?
Did you get this phone new or second-hand? - if not second hand, and you're still having problems, it's probably definitely time to take it in and have the store/carrier/seller look at it, if at all possible... |

freezes are not normal.
i have owned 4 japanese fones in japan. none suffered from freezes. i now have se z1010 with latest firmware. it freezes about 1 time in every 3 days. problem areas: bluetooth file transfers and networking functions. se had better fix this type of thing before they start to see the v802 in japan for vodafone in december 2004. |
