F700

Anybody got photos and more info of the F700? They say it's got features like 1.3MP camera, expandable memory, and other goodies. They also say the press release is scheduled in a month or so...

Was this the same SE spokesperson who told you SE scrapped the whole P910 design?

Anyway, I can't wait for the F700, however I thought the rumours were that the F series were just a continuation of the T series. So does that mean it's not really a cross between the S700 and P910, but just a candy bar version of the S700? I don't know...can't wait for the announcment to come though.

definitely definitely not rumours, too many forums have had information about it, too many quotations of SE spokes people. alot of websites like mobile9 have mentioned it as well. its definitely coming, itll be announced end sept or early oct. but wont be released till next year because s700 is coming out end of this year

If the F500 (aka K500) was designed for vodafone, is there a possibility that F700 was (or will be) also designed for a particular mobile carrier? are there any other F-series SE phones aside from the F500 and F700?

If the announcement is this September then another 6 months of waiting? He he he!
I hope the battery will be a brand new model and won't be the same as the k700i (battery of T230) and s700 (battery of Z600).

I can see what your saying, but if thats the case Vodafone WOULD'NT be selling the K700i and would be selling the F700 instead (seeing as the K500i and F500i are the same thing but the later is dressed up in Voda Live crap) as a K700i dressed up in Vodafone's colours just like the F500i, see what I mean?

Vodafone were one of the first to start selling the K700i, and they've even put a 'Vodafone' badge at the bottom I think, so the F700 is going to be a completely new phone rather than a 'Voda-badged' K700i.

Then again,, after re-reading your post (doh!) your right, they might make it ecxclusive for another network, but when has a manufacturer given started a range of phone models for a network (F500i for Voda) and then changed its successor to a different network? If they were going to make a K700i for a different network I doubt it'd have the F-branding as that (at the moment) COULD be called Voda's own SE agreement, but only maybe.

Speakin of the Vodacrap's F500 designs. Who the hell would choose it over the conventional K500? that 'thing' looks like a clown from the phone world. Who da hell designed it? maybe Ferguson???

Here's a summary of the F700 rumours that I have 'consolidated'

It'll have S700 features such as
> 1.3MP camera
> 262k screen
> bluetooth & ir
> expandable memory

and a BLOCK or CANDY BAR FORM FACTOR, oh and the press release will be in September 2004! - no confirmation yet whether this will be a "carrier-cloned" version of the S700... let's wait and see! september's just 'round the block!
