Z1010 - wow

The z1010 - it an amazing device, power, functions, handling, performance - its got it all - looked at the nokia 6630 and OK its Symbian OS but the Z1010 is much better??

i would really like to know what makes you think the z1010 is better than the 6630 i really would !

on paper the 6630 is obviously much more advanced than the z1010 (symbian, 1.3 megapixel camera, hot swop mmc (as opposed to memory stick duo), smaller size, bigger screen etc etc etc) and looks-wise people will obviously have their own opinions but have you actually seen the z1010 in the flesh - it could be used as a lethal weapon ! it's huuuge !!

the z1010 can only run java apps/games (maybe mophun too if i remembered correctly) which are hardly cutting edge and the quality of the camera is terrible. the only thing the z1010 has which is better than the 6630 is built in video calling capability; something which i see as quite useless anyway. who out of us 3g users actually use video calls on a regular basis ? i know i dont, given the price (10 times more than voice calls) and the bad quality plus the fact that video calls are hardly practical unless you're sat at home in a quiet place.

really look forward to your views

Z1010 can give you a feeling that a 6630 can't. you should try it

Yes...the feeling of heaviness and sheer size.

i know what he is talking about, the z1010 is chunky, and its like a good gun in your hand. its big but u know its solid and packs a punch. same with the Z1010 its just big and u know it does something cool. even though its a brick.

size isn't the main reason that i dont think this phone is all that (i have a motorola a925 for crying out loud - have you ever seen one of the buggers before!). just dont think the z1010 is special at all

I guess the only thing 6630 doesn't have is a dual-camera which Z1010 has. So i think video calling on 6630 is useless on the move.

i think they will implement a tiny camera near the screen of the 6630 when its out, makes no sense for a 3G phone not to have one. unless ure meant to turn the phone around:|

Well I could say it's totally 2 different phones for different types of users. Most SE Hardcore users would find the phone most pleasing with it's dual camera + MS Duo expansion functions most pleasing.

Most Symbian users would never turn back to a phone which is never Symbian powered (BT,IR,GPRS,Tri-band,expandability,superior OS).

So we can't compare I guess. I'm a SE user, but at the same time I love the Symbian OS

In japan most 3g phones have not got the option of video calling they use it for fast downloads and better e-mail with attachments.

i think thats the biggest draw of 3g, because like i said who actually uses video calls like they would phone calls.

just wish that 3 UK would hurry up and drop the "walled garden" so we can actually use our phones to do what they were meant to do instead of being limited to their crappy "services" site
