Lightbulb Mayhem game demo

Hi

We have a Java game called Mayhem's Magic Dust. If you have a new-ish nokia, siemens SX1/CX65, motorola V300/400/500/525/600 or sony k700/z1010/p900 you can play a free demo of it. You can download either using wap (http://www.infinitelives.tv/MMD/dist/index.wml - its only about 76K and takes, er, 30 seconds to download) or get a zip and use infrared/cable/bluetooth to stick it on your phone (http://www.infinitelives.tv/MMD/dist/index.html)

the demo is free, its fun, its simple. i'm not asking you to buy it. in fact, you can't buy it for sonys or motos yet as we are still tidying it up. and i don't think the cx65 is released proper. you can play the demo though for free.

it only takes a minute to download via wap (and less if you grab a zip) so please give it a go!

(the p900 is going to be improved a tad but it still plays really well. it needs the stylus or you can just touch the screen with your finger.)

cheers!

cool. thanks for your feedback. the SX1 is a good phone and the same as the nokia 3650/6600 as far as speed and screen size go. i think the latest SX1 firmware has bluetooth so maybe some decent multiplayer games will come out. the cool ting would be playing a game against someone on a different phone, like your SX1 versus a Sony K700 or Nokia 6600 or something. if we had the time we'd do a lil java bluetooth mayhem multiplayer game but alas we are too busy.

thanks again for your feedback though, its is much appreciated!

Hi

You should be able to point your 7610's browser at http://www.infinitelives.tv/MMD/dist/nokia.wml and get the demo from there (pick the first 60 - Normal Keys version). If you have bluetooth, a cable or infra-red you can save a few pennies by downloading this demo zip with Getright or your normal pc/mac/whatever browser and sticking the JAR on your phone.

The main demo page on the site has a browser demo of the game and, as you say, there are no links to a phone version there. I have my "techie" page which has kinda grown to include all types of phone demos.

if you want to help me out, i'd like to know how fast your 7610 can run which is easily done using this speed test: stick that on your phone, run it, pick "run test" (the default option), let the game run itself as fast it can and then post the "ms/frame" and "fps" numbers please. If you want to wap that, visit http://www.infinitelives.tv/MMD/dist/nokia.wml and pick the second speed test series 60 - normal keys version.
