Well, this site http://www.ifni.com, gives free ringtones but they are in MIDI file, so you would have to have a converter from MIDI to Polyphonic...
If you tell me which phone you have, I might be able to help you more...
(For instance, Nokia has a converter with its PC Suite in some phones and then sends it to you phone...)

I've got a Sony Ericsson Z600. Could you tell me how to convert midi to polyphonic for it? And also is there any app to easily make polyphonic ringtones, or do i just make a midi file and convert it?

You'll prolly have to check the manual or support to find out which format your phone's ringtones are in.

Currently, I use a Sony Ericsson T616 and that phone does use midi files as ringtones. I just Google for my fave songs in midi or .mid format and upload to my phone. Works fine and dandy. When uploading, the midis are automatically put into the same place where the ringtones are kept.

A midi's sound will depend on the player it was optimized for so some files will sound richer than others. Also, some midis sound flatter from my phone than from my computer -- but I don't know if the difference is in the player (Quicktime vs what ever Sony Ericsson uses) or in the speakers.

Anyways, I just wish my phone had more memory than 2 MB. That amount is barely enough to hold all the ringtones (and pics and themes and messages) that I want.
