Vodafone 803T

I have a Vodafone 803T and I am having trouble uploading songs onto my phone. I use the Beat Engine to transfer songs but the songs are not working on the phone. Do I have to convert the files? If so, what program should I use? How do I make songs as my ringtone? Any help would be appreciated.
