LG Chocolate

Does anybody know how to find the firmware/software version running on my LG Chocolate?

I am having problems with network coverage and I'm thinking of flashing it.

Anybody else had coverage problems with their Chocolate?

You can't find the firmware version from the phone itself, you need to hook it up to a flashing kit. Take it to a service centre, and they will be able to tell you all the details.

Reception problems can be attributed to a problem with the phone, and it has been proven in the past, especially with SE phones, that firmware flashes can improve reception. I think that remark was uncalled for, as it was an entirely legitimate question.

You need to take it to a service center or back to your carrier. I don't think there is KG800 firmware available elsewhere yet.

Any updates on this? I found firmware on some Multi-Box website, but had problems registering. I assume, therefore, that firmware is available for download by now; has anyone found any other locations?
