Does anyone know anything about the LG CU500 Ringtones??
I uploaded a few short MP3 files (15 seconds or so) that I prepared to be used as ringtones in my cell via bluetooth.
But when I try to set them as ringtones in my LG CU500 it tells me Non-acceptable content. anyone kno how to get around this? |

It could be one of two things, that either your handset is defective, or Cingular and/or LG put a restriction that only their content can be used for ringtones, which isn't really beyond them to do.

Yep, I figured it out, it was a restriction after all. I got around it after doing some googling, i found a nifty program that reincodes mp3's into....well...mp3's. But the ones it makes are accepted by the phone!

I'm not sure. It makes a new MP3 file, doesn't change the bitrate of quality or anything unless you tell it to change it, but for some reason the phone accepts the reencoded ones.
The program's called MP3 to Ringtone Gold. I got a copy off isohunt. |
