Can someone help me with my N840?

Hi

i know that the NEC N840 isnt one of the newest phones around.. but i brought one recently (well 2 months ago) from hong kong (i'm from Australia) and i'm having some problems, and i was wondering if someone could help me..

i cant seem to be able to connect my phone onto my computer via the usb cable provided. Even when i've installed all the software and the drivers everytime i try to connect i keep getting this message saying to make the language of the HHP to be the same as the PC, but they both are in english!

secondly i was wondering if people found a way to remove the chinese interface that remains even though you've selected the language as english?

forget the usb connection. it's a real pain. use the infrared. you can move anything, any size to the n840 with it.
