Sony Ericsson M600 Has It All

Introduced early this year, the Sony Ericsson M600 mobile phone seems promising because of its numerous features. Aside from its amazing 80MB memory, this phone also comes with a 64MB card and a Memory Stick Duo Pro slot.

The M600 can accommodate games, and has java and voice memo functions. It features Media Player for MP3 and AAC, Office applications, photo album and video playback functions. The standby time reaches up to 340 hours while talk time is supposedly seven hours with its Li-Po battery.

The Sony M600's major appeal though is its TFT 256k colored display, QWERTY keyboard and handwriting recognition. It has Bluetooth, Infrared and GPRS connectivity. But even a great mobile phone such as the M600 lacks something - a camera.

Sony Ericsson has not yet disclosed the M600's release date.

I keep hearing June as the release date, which is also the claimed date for p990. Yet when SE announced the m600 they claimed that the p990 would be delayed in order to accelerate development for m600.

I can understand on the business-oriented M600...but not its music cousin W950i

to me i feel creating a powerful phone with no camera is a positive. cause with singapores National service you cant bring in a phone with a camera but most people want a high end phone to bring in to pass time.

personally i dont see why would people get this phone over the w950. same phone but w950 has the same OS and has 4gb memory. whereas this phone is short changed.

M600 will probably be cheaper, and if people don't need the storage or music functions then they'll be happy with it.

But consider how much small a percentage a market Singapore is in relationtion to the rest of the world...I should hope that SE didn't leave out a camera only for that reason.

It's like someone said in another thread (I think it was you MikeUK)...the M600 should've been the cameraless version of the W950. I honestly don't think it would've made a huge dent into the P990's sales if the W950 had a camera, especially if it was a lower quality one, and the camera would make an important difference between the M600 and W950.

I hope SE will make a camera module of the W950, if that so we can plug
M600 as well.

I'm not really sure that'd happen, T68i had a sepearate module, but that was a small phone, these phones really aren't.
