Movies and video clips can be downloaded or watched on the move in real time via a fast UMTS connection (data rate of up to 384 Kbps) – and in superb quality thanks to video streaming and downloading in H264/AAC+ format. Additionally, music plays directly onto the mobile via UMTS-supported audio streaming or downloading in the formats MP3, AAC, AAC+, AMR and WMA and can be listened to anytime and anywhere via the stereo headset supplied.

The BenQ-Siemens S81 is also perfectly equipped for video calls with a second camera (VGA) above the large 2-inch TFT screen (262,144 colors, 176 x 220 pixels). The S81 UMTS all-rounder provides a 1.3 megapixel camera with 10x digital zoom, LED photolight and separate camera key for spontaneous snapshots. A photo editor is also integrated for subsequently touching up the photos.

The S81 permits access to current appointments, address data, personal memos and e-mails in an instant. This enables waiting times to be spent meaningfully and allows the working day to be organized more efficiently. If the internal telephone memory (30 MB) is insufficient for all data, photos and movies, the mobile's storage capacity can be extended to up to 1 GB using microSD cards.

The BenQ-Siemens S81 will be available in Q2/2006 in a Black/Silver color variant. Prices will be determined locally.
