The bizarre thing is that BT was already in the S55. The ST55 is supposed to be an upgrade. No BT in the ST55 means there will be no chance I will buy it.

The only phone I'm going to buy is a T610 or Z600, I have patience. It'll take a couple of months but I don't care.

What's the image res in the ST55? I know the S55 attachable was only a 96x96... which is pretty lame. And yeah, not have BT sucks - wonder why they did that?

But then again, I've always wondered why Nokia very rarely include BT in their phones... mayb it's a licensing thing?

Nope, I think because they (as a mass market brand) believe that the costs of including a BT chipset in every phone, and only having a very little number of people actually using it, is not worth it.

Guess so... but the amount of people I have asking me for a bluetooth Nokia is ridiculous... and when I show them the 6310i, they laugh at me

I would think phones like the 7250/i would benefit from BT... or mayb the 6610, which is (from what I understand) marketed at business people.

Hopefully Nokia changes it's tune in the future... as I see bluetooth becoming more and more popular (especially with the new laws regarding mobile phone use in cars).

Time will tell!

Well Nokia is unveiling their new range of phones very soon so we'll see then.
I think they realised that they lost a big chunk of the high-end phones market to the T610 simply because it had Bluetooth and the 7250 didn't.

Another thing is that when they do manage to put BT in, its usually very wierd and doesnt work with a lot of devices. Lets hope they have changed their thinking.

Do u have to include a subject when posting a reply, as it wouldn't let me reply without one?

Oh well... BT is not something important to me at the moment, but it is a feature i would like included in my phones for the future.

No subject here....

You don't need a subject for a reply.

not sure that the ST is really an upgrade to the s55? think it is made by a different company anyway, and doesnt have the normal siemens features? the only improvement is the 65k screen

Thats right - they hired a Chinese company do make the hardware and slapped their software on it.
I can understand why the Bluetooth might not be there, but it really is inexcuseable.
Its too bad really, I liked the look of the ST55.
