Prepared for the conditions of outdoor experience this concept inspires as a rugged device in a new unique shape. When the device is closed it is reduced to simplicity in form and function, featuring an iconic appearance. The selfprotective rolling cover offers toughness on the outside, which protects the latest mobile technology inside. This shockproof and fully featured music device is perfectly equipped for total music experience in extreme situations.



The new rolling slider-mechanism creates a visually innovative gesture as an ostentatious statement. The combination of tough aluminum and non-slip soft touch materials provide a protecting body and a fashionable style.

A mobile communication device itself offers the ideal platform to combine mobility inreal locations with access to virtual information. Reality augmented with overlaid data using location based messaging provides entire new forms of exciting game scenarios and adventures. Communication technology also provides the possibility of multiplayer gaming and transfers the experience of community into real locations. This way of gaming is characterized by a high level of creativity and interactivity inspired by a constantly changing environment.



Considering the permanent shifting requirements, a new form factor design was developed to provide different handheld positions. The overall appearance and the position of the interface elements are adjusted to Outdoor Gaming needs and style.

the "Jaw" phone



The product concept was created to enhance the consumers' communication sphere using unique style elements for mobile devices. Implementing these style elements into our concept led us to developing a fresh approach for a new mobile phone. We focused on the communicative aspects of light, gesture and technology used as worn symbols. Embedding light into a mobile device is one style element that could change the way consumers communicate to each other. LED lights have always been associated with future technologies. Used as part of text messaging, LED lights represent a form of modernity, they are truly timeless.

A gesture is another style element which displays the attitude of a person. Translating it into a LED mechanism generates a mostly visually innovative fashion statement. It displays the importance of communication as a new form of value. The smart form factor design of this mobile phone generates a simple but impressive way to integrate wearability and illumination into communication.

The Jaw phone is beautiful; ultra-modern yet elegant. But my favourite concept is the Armadillo phone.

It's almost a crime not to put these designs into production.
