P990 flip

hmm i read from previous threads stating its flip couldnt be removed. But from certain sites, it shows the flip to be removable. Which is the correct saying?!?!

I've only heard that it can be removed...but then again i haven't really researched the P990...

idk imo it'd be pointless to remove the flip since it's just the QWERTY keyboard under it anyways and not a screen like in previous P-series...

from wht iv read..it is supposed to be removable..but then againm whats the point?! theres not a whole lot of viewing area burried under it an besides i doubt that we can use the QWERTY for dialing a number.., *sigh* these sure are some letdowns... just saw a Treo700w peek preview at ngadgets, lookin quite good..

Well its probably not meant to be removed, but if you wanted you you can snap it off.

iTs actually quite nice without the flip. It doesnt look like some bum found two different items and stuck them together.

I would so love a P990, but realisticly I can't afford it and I don't need all the features, but I would use them.

Save...get a job...lol.

Anyways...how is the flip removed? Is it easily removable or do you need specialist tools?

From the pictures on S.E. website I suppose it should be easily removable (since they posted it flipless on several occasions).

It's so hard finding a job when your 15, that one extra num,ber to 16 makes so much difference!

I've never owned a P-Series phone, but seeing as they haven't said specificaly my guess is that it is removed the same way as it is with other P-Series phones.

Set up a site, put google ads on it. then save the revenue you make from that.

Back to topic: Well the reason I asked how to remove is because the P-SERIES models had different ways of removing them. P800 it just slipped off and the p9xx you had to use the given tools to remove it.

Off Topic: Don't you get like 0.1p per click through or something like that? That sucks lol, and I wouldn't have enough visitors because I have nor the time nor energy to make a decent site.

On Topic: Ohhhhhh I see didn't know that. My uncle will probably get a P990 not long after it comes out and I will be able too see it. He had P800, P900 and P910i. He also has a nokia 9500 and a nokia 8800 atm I think, and a portable satalite phone......hes a buisness man, rich one.

Off Topic: I dont know how it works but it can fund various big places. Old toocool said the adds were enough to fund his monthly bills

On Topic: It seems that when the flip is removed that the groove where the hinges were disappears. Maybe that panel bit unclips and you swap it for one with no grooves.
