Question Wanted! A Cheap PDA/Phone in India

Hi Folks!

I ve recently joined a company quite far from my city Chennai and I have to commute for couple of hours , I would like to buy a PDA/Phone combo, Without any fancy frills or a camera. Basically I need it to read stuff stored on my PC ( eBooks,Docs etc) prolly play a few Mp3 songs. And recieve and make calls. I would be quite happy even with a B/W screen. Could you suggest something nice. And most importantly something available in India(Chennai)

Thanks In Advance

Your best bet would be to get a second hand Sony Ericsson P800. They are going pretty cheap nowdays.

sid might be right
but the battery life of p800 is very less
so if one uses its functions as well as talks, it is sure be down in 1 day or less

Mine lasts me about 2 days with pretty heavy usage - ebook, 1 hour of talking per day, and using it as a calender/organiser throughout the day.

I'd say that's pretty good.

Smile Thanks! any clue about Handspring phones ?

Thanks for the info folks, But I ve still got something to add :- S.

But someone tells me I can get a phone from Handspring one of their Treo models for under 10,000/-. Do you think its a worthy buy? And besides isnt buying second hands a risky buy ?
