Sharp GX10i - Questions

Hi

Anyone got this phone, also wondering can the IrDA port be used for data transfer other then using the phone as a modem? The GSMBOX review says that the "full" funtionality is enable allowing for management ability using the IrDA port. Can anyone confirm this or is it a load of crap?
