Received a Dss-25 desk sync stand today, with the hope of linking up my PC and mobile, but it appears not to be working...wondering if anyone here can help...

Installed the software that came with the K700, that all installed fine. Plugged the Dss-25 into my USB on the computer, windows detected new hardware and installed the relevant software. Placed phone on the stand, and the green light came on, which I assume means the stand has found the phone... however When i go to the sync station software, which should link the two together, it keeps saying that it cannot synch as there is no connection. I've tried the drivers on the SE website for the other USB cables and the suggestion there for installing those, but it doesn't seem to work. The only drivers listed for the DSS are for the P900 and P910. The SE website definatly says that the K700i is compatible with the Dss-25, so why isit not working

Any help would be much appreciated thanks!!

well I have similar problems, using dss-25,with k700i,after numerous downloads of same software actually managed to update software on the phone, which surely means comp and phone are connected and seeing each other, yet opening file manager,or synchronisation, comp just doesnt see the phone, have installed ,uninstalled software, downloaded latest software,
checked com ports, followed sonys website problem sites, but nothing seems to work

any ideas or suggestions would begreat
Jim

I eventualy got it working by installing the drivers for the older Dss-20.
