Hey there.. I"m new in this forum thingy.. and I'm glad to know that I can ask questions about bluetooth stuffs...

It's just that I can't transfer files from my PC to my mobile phone (Nokia 3230)
Yet I can send files from my mobile phone to my PC.. hr...
Can anyone help me how to transfer files? 'Cause everytime i do, this shows up....

The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond.

If you sent the file to another Windows XP computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. If you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed.

I don't even know what the OBEX thingy is... hehe..

anyone?? i beg you guys!!!! :( I'm really desperate having mp3s in my fone!!! hehe..

sorry for asking the obvious question, but you have got the bluetooth on the phone switched on haven't you; if you've previously paired the devices the phone will show up as a location to send the file to even if it isn't on, i made this mistake once, ten minutes of head-scratching, then realisation, then all day feeling stupid...

right, presuming it's not that, you're either trying to send a file type that your phone doesn't support or there's some othere receiving problem with your phone; try sending stuff by bluetooth from another phone, if that works fine check your file types.

all of this presumes you've got some decent bluetooth transfer software on your PC, if not, get some.

@mishia - When I transfer files from my fone to my PC and vise-versa, I always use my Bluetooth Dongle. It just needs some minor configurations and pass codes. Then walah, i can now load my fones with stuffs that I liked - mp3s/vids/images . . . Good Luck!

Pair them, use the same code on both devices (I usually just enter 0 as the code.)
Just right click on the item you want to send, "Send to", Bluetooth >, Search, and select your phone...
Make sure Bluetooth is turned on first ;)
