how is that pertinant to the fact that you can now use cing edge and 850?

i did not mean that you were ALL the time. i was simply stating that you now have access to our 850 bandwidth in limited areas through a roaming agreeement (we've known that for a while) and now to our EDGE network. why does this turn into a so and so has service in my house but so and so does not ordeal EVERY time?!?!?!?!

i would be thrilled, but i have an EDGE-less, non 850 phone :( Im guessing you can only use the EDGE when your roaming on Cingular where there's no native T-Mobile coverage? I need to get the 6620...

not sure on how the roaming agreements work but i am pretty sure that you will be able to get edge serivce in areas where service overlaps, which is a pretty big footprint

Well, I've had my eye on the 6620...pretty cheap on eBay. You can get a brand new unlocked one for under $250, $100 cheaper than online on NokiaUSA.com:cool:

I have yet to find any phone i want that has the GSM 850/1900 Band that i like...Moto RAZR is too expensive/i dont like it, and everything else i like such as the Samsung's and stuff are all Tri-Band phones not offering the 850 band...=[

its not bad. the 6230 and the 6620 are both lightning fast and they are class 10 and class 6 respectively. the s710a is a class 10 device and is a bit slower than the 6620 so who knows....

Don't you mean the 3620 instead of the 3660?:p
Honestly, the only phone that's exclusively only 850/1800/1900MHz is the 6620, although I'd still prefer one of the new Nseries.
Btw, I've always been boggled by this...my friend has AT&T/Cingular and for some reason I never see her 3100b at full bar. However, when I put my T-Mobile SIM in it, I can achieve full service. Consequently, when she puts her SIM in my phone, she gets full service...it just doesn't make sense
