I have owned my 6630 for almost 2 months now and well......
From what i am seeing on the net most ppl crib about the SLOWDOWN on the phone after a lil while of usage.
NOTE that this process may even work for the 6600 and the 7610
Well i have a solution to that
This problem occours mostly after installing N-Gage games on the phone. This problem is beacuse the FILES in the SYSTEM->>>LIBS(on the mem card where the games are installed) folder are executed and stored into the memory whenever the phone starts thus causing the slowdown.
Another problem is the message "FEATURE NOT SUPPORTED" when you try to use the video on the 6630.
the following is a solution to both the above problems

1.open FeExplorer or any other FILE MANAGER and locate the LIBS folder on the memory card(or whereever the ngage games have been installed)
2.Rename the libs folder to "gdcLIBS"now restart the phone.

It will be as fast as it was when u first bought the phone.
But now Most of youre ngage games wont work(remember that using ngage games on other phones is ILLEGAL)

Now to make them work again rename the folder "gdcLIBS" back to LIBS and restart the phone.
you can name it ANYTHINGlibs.......(GDC---those are just my initials).....JUST DONT NAME IT "libs"
the point of this is that on startup the phone does not recognise the "libs" folder once it has been renamed and so the slowdown does not happen anymore. From my experience i think certain LIBRARIES that come with the ngage games come in conflict when users try to access the CAMERA functions on our 6630 phones. The NGAGE has a workaround to this SLOWDOWN and as we all kno it dosent have a camera anyway and so this problem is not seen there
Youre games will now work but the slowdown will happen again.

to go back to normal carry out steps 1 and 2.

Hope this helps!,

PS- set the time to keep logs on the phone to 1 day....this also helps a bit
mods---it wud be nice if you made this post a sticky and please post other solutions to problems in this thread

Well running N-Gage games on a 6630 is actually classed as 'cracking' so I'm not going to sticky this. Though any LIBS folders from things (whatever the cause) can be fixed by your solution and the 1-day log trick (now well documented) are useful so I'm gonna leave the thread.

Well i dont install N-Gage games in my 6630 but still my phone does slow down.. The log is set to 1 day.. I reset my phone (hard reset) now the phone is fine.. This thing actually helps.. but remember all the data is lost.. I had backed up the phonebook enteries to the memory card.. Now my phone is as fast as new.. :)

Well my problem in 6630 is this... I have this muvee software in it... After using it my phone slow down, Hang and Freeze.. I have to turn off my phone and after 10 sec open it again for smooth running... What could be the problem? is it the phone or the software?

Have you tried erasing that muvee app?

Or other things you can do... is to reset your phone back to it's default state. Another thing you can do... is to reformat the phone (hard reset, like the above post), you'd loose al your data, but your phone will behave like new.

cheers!

DEViANT.......let me make it clear once and for all.........i am not discussing INSTALLING or MODIFYING N-Gage games in any way but what i am suggesting is a way to fix a screwed up 6630 if you happen to have done it sometime or the other.Lob sided view points like urs arent going to help anyone on this forum!
