Hi Guys!

I got my k750i yesterday.
I just have a question that annoys the hell out of me when it comes to SE.
Is there ANY way to make the ring tones ONLY ring once!

I LOVE the way Nokia has "Ring Once"... I cant stand ringtones for more then 1 ring. Is there a hack? a cheat? A special option apart from increasing ring?

Thanks
Raf

umm... you can make a custom ringtone maybe?

Like if you want it to ring once.... the trick there is to record or make a ringtone that rings once and then has a long pause after that. Like make it 20 seconds, for example, with the first 3 to 4 seconds only for the ring, then the remaining 16 seconds is blank or nothing. So when you put it on the phone - it will seem to ringing once coz the next one is still several seconds away.

cheers!

Hi difenbaker

Thanks for your answer mate..
Yea, I use to do that with my t610 ages ago.
Great trick but still annoying about SE.
I think i'll take it back and wait for the Nokia 8800.

ha! so.... guess you had to do more surveys right? switching brands do require some sort of sacrificing of what i call propietory functions. Alot of functions which originate from individual manufacturers cant be take into account and regarded as 'Must-Haves' untill they're taken up by the mainstream and finally manufacturers adjust to it. Some usefull functions from one manufacturer might seemed pointless to others.

For example 12 or 9 icon based UI, Nokia is one of the latest to adapt to it since previously, they thought it's pointless, but after a majority of users wanted it, its changed. Same goes with Nokia's multiple character search in their phonebook, somethng SE's lacked, but after majority demands, it;s now there, in K750 and upcoming models. This example also goes well; SE's 'Frequent SMS' list, this might be a good feature which other manufacturer's might use. And of course the newly adapted feature like the one in K750; originated from Siemens. :)
