Hi,

I just got a new sony k700i. When I set it up, I copied all my phone numbers from my sim card to the phone memory. Now when I look at my contacts, I see the same name twice for each person. One that is saved on the phone and one that is saved on the sim card. I looked in the settings and can't find anything to change it so it uses only one or the other. I want it so it only uses the phones memory. How can I do this?

Thanks

I believe you copied twice your contacts from the sim to the phone. What you have to do is delete all the contacts from the phone. The contacts that you are seeing are only from your phone, not the sim card. When you see the contacts from your Sim, you only see the name, nothing else (no web address, no nothing) and they have a /h (home) /m (mobile). So, after you delete them, you copy all the contacts back from the sim to the phone. Be careful not to delete the contacts from the sim.
If you already duplicated the contacts on your sim, then there is nothing you can do. Even if you do the above you will have duplicates on your phone memory because they came from the simcard. Just go one by one deleting the duplicates on the phone. Then, just copy everything back to the simcard. This will complete replace the simcard contents because everytime you copy to the simcard everything in the simcard is replaced.

the phonebook in se phones only show the phone memory. if you have duplicates on you sim card, you have to find the menu where u can browse your sim card phone book and delete your duplicates.
