s700 how do i link to computer??

I just got my sony ericsson s700 and I have no idea how to download stuff from my computer to it. I bought a USB data cable but it doesn't work, and I'm really bad with computer stuff, are there softwares that I have to download? please help!

U can use bluetooth (u need to buy a adapter for ur computer) or IRda (u need an infra-red adapter for this) I use BT as its faster than IR

Sony-erisson is very strong about Irfra. U can use a laptop to connect them and transfer data. Wish u success.

Its much easier to just get a bluetooth dongle
