hey guys, i'm new at all this unlocked phones stuff. i recently got a motorola razor phone as a gift. i was told it is "unlocked" since i'm not sure what that means i don't know if i should take it to cingular and get them to take out the sim card in my current cingular phone and i'm good to go...or do i do that myself? don't know if i should go to cingular store or not. i've heard a few people say they got an unlocked phone and when they took it to cingular they refused to do it for them because the phones weren't "legit cingular" phones. and a few others that did it themselves can't use their phones now due to the unlocked phones. so should i risk it or not?

you dont have to take it to cingular to have them take the sim card out. you can do it yourself. the stupid cingular people would probably give you some stupid bs response anyway...

The SIM is usually located behind the battery. Its held into place (usually) by a sliding latch. Once you take the SIM out (or insert it) replace the battery and power up.

Yeah and if you not sure how exactly to do what the zodiac just explained, take a look at the manual, it explains it there.
