BTW does using a duplicate battery really affect the phone? i have used many duplicate batteries which costs only 1/4 th of the price of the original battery... the only problem was the battery backup was a bit less.. does it really affect the phone is my question..

well... I dont think it would affect the phone that much. The only difference maybe is that the duplicate batts wont last as long or is not as durable.
nokia, on the other hand, would have us believe that using a duplicate batt is "bad", hehehe :p ... anyway, there could be a sliver of truth to that. From what the news says, all the cases of exploding phones, cracked batts, and fluctuating charges - all of that are attributed to non-original batts. (probably gross misuse or abuse of those batts).
anyway, I think its pretty harmless, cant hurt to check though, right?
cheers!

Me too, checked the battery of my 6630 and its authentic... :)
i want a BL-6C batt.. authentic one is not available anywhere... a duplicate Bl-6c batt lasts as long as my original BL-5c.. so no point.. i love my phone but the only problem is the battery backup... nokia havent improved it even for their new nseries..

i have never had a battery like the one it shows on the web site..... even the battery that came with the phone...?!
i do buy backup battery. and those batteries work just fine as the one that came with the phone. the talk time and standby time have no difference compare to what the spec says on the manual. as the matter of fact, battery life lasts longer when u have a backup battery.
but i found out one thing that is if i turn on the GPRS as always on, my fresh-charged battery will die in one day. but if i turn it off, it will last 2-3 days.
the online store sold me the backup said it is OEM. but who knows and who cares, as long as it doesnt die in 2 hrs.... hehe...
