ah! great news...

has it only come out now? if so its strange beause there was a company selling 512mb dv rsmmc back in january - specifically saying 512mb dv rsmmc for 6630 - eh must have been lying.

Anyway good because my friend is asking for a 512mb for his 6630. He stupidly bought a 512mb card without telling me and surprise surprise it didnt work.

How long will it take for 1 GB cards to be available??

BTW is N90 compatible with SD memory cards?? as far as i know n70 is compatible with miniSD mem cards..

miniSD and RS-MMC have different form factors. It's unlikely for the N70 to be compatible with the miniSD if the press release states compatibility with DV RS-MMC.

The 6638 supposedly uses SD though.

i dont know but they better (and should be) be soon. Ive already run out on my 512mb one (not dvrsmmc)

The n90 will be needing some serious memory considering that the video and photos will take much more memory. . .does that still need dv?

Well 512 MB and 1 GB cards are really in vain.Y do u spend much money on that.Symbian is such an operating system that it will monitor all the memory one and all.It checks out the memory each and every moment and this makes u'r system work very slow.256 MB is damn good enough for processing.

Any way before buying 512 check the MMC before the shop keeper itself.

yeah thats what i suggest to each and everyone.. before buying a Dual votage mem card take ur phone along with you and then check the card in front of the shop keeper... most of them either dont know much about Dual voltage cards or they r cheats..

And let me make this clear.. 512 MB dual voltage cards are not available anywhere as yet... so if any shop keeper says that he has a 512 MB Dual Voltage Rs-MMC please dont buy it.. becoz it wont work with your 6630/6680 but will surely work on ur 7610/6670... :)

If it doesnt work on ur 6630/6680 and works on ur 7610/6670 and then the shopkeeper tries to convince u that it is a dual voltage card which saves ur battery power please dont buy it becoz Dual voltage mmc's should work on ur 6630 if it doesnt then its not Dual voltage...
