Hi All,
I too am waiting patiently for the release of the K750. Carphone warehouse has it on there web site for a May release...

But my query is about the memory card. Sony Ericsson`s web site says it uses Memory Stick Duo, and other reviews including www.gsmarena.com claim it`s a Memory Stick Duo Pro. Which is is it? Is there a difference? As i`m looking to pre buy a 512mb or 1GB Memory stick before the phone arrives. I mean what can you do with a measly 64mb people....hehe!!!

Secondly is it worth buying an Ultra or High Speed Memory Stick Duo/Pro for the faster transfer rates. Do you think this would benefit in watching video clips on the phone without any video/audio problems. Like being out of sink. Not that i`m expecting any.

Edit: sink, :D , i`m an idiot - sync.

Just thought i`d ask..............
Thanks for any help/advice......... :D

Wasted.......... ;)

Thanks Karim for your answer, but not to sound grateful I still cant find anywhere were it shows it can use Duo Pro cards.

As you can see from this pic you can see its a Duo card.
Or am I missing the point, being it can use either card. Pro Duo being the faster card.

Thanks.........

I believe it was clearly stated in the press release of the K750.
I could be wrong.
Why would anybody have interest in such a phone anyways, the Nokia n90 is coming shortly after!

Here are the specs said in 3 regions, asia, europe, and africa. All of them says the same thing.

http://www.sonyericsson.com/spg.jsp?cc=za&lc=en&ver=4000&template=pp1_1_1&zone=pp&lm=pp1&pid=10242

Connectivity

* USB support
* Sync ML
* Synchronisation PC
* Memory Stick Duo™
* Infrared port
* High-Speed Data
* GPRS
* Bluetooth™ wireless technology
* Fast port

So one may think that it's the memstick duo... BUT reading further down, it also says this:

Organiser

* Timer
* Tasks
* Stopwatch
* Speaker phone
* PIM Sync
* Phone book
* File manager
* Contacts
* Conference calls
* Code memo
* Clock
* Call list
* Calendar
* Calculator
* Business card exchange
* Alarm clock
* Memory Stick PRO Duo™

...... so it can get a little confusing.

cheers!

Why would anybody have interest in such a phone anyways, the Nokia n90 is coming shortly after!

maybe, because Sony Ericsson UIs are usually far superior to that of Nokia's and some people prefer candybar style phones to clam shells (especially, one with rotatable screens). The superior build quality you see in SE's compared to Nokias.

There are many reasons why someone would be interested in the K750 over the N90.

and I'm sure they'll be something better than the N90 coming shortly after that and if we all went bywhy have interst in "phone x" when "phone Y" is out shortly after, none of us would ever upgrade.

n maybe they want/need a new fone quickly and dnt want to wait for ages, or they want a smaller fone, or they just prefer SE
