I know that the top of MP3 ringtones has been under much discussion, but I still cannot for the life of me get my Nokia 7610 to play MP3 ringtones! I'm sick of my friends with crap Motorola phones playing them and not me. Is there a simple program that allows you to transfer music to your phone and then available as rigntones!? BTW I used iTunes if that helps.

THANX!!

Just send the MP3 via bluetooth or datacable, and just select the MP3 as ringing tone from Profiles...

transfer via karims method into C/E:/Sounds/DIGITAL.

if you put it anywhere else the phone wont see the file.

I normally rename my mp3 files with a "-" in front because it mixes in with the midi and other crappy file types, eg "-feel good inc" so all mp3 files appear in the beginning and together.

if you have saved your mp3 ringtones to the correct directory which jose r.a.m posted and they still wont play as ringtones then i have this ? is it possible that the 7610 does not play mp3 ringtones? i know it has an mp3 player but it may not be able to use them as ringtones. if anyone else has a 7610 that they use mp3 as ringtones on then you must have a defective phone or something. someone with a 7610 should be able to assist.

my 6260 plays them just fine as ringtones but my 6600 even with an mp3 player app installed will not play mp3 as ringtones.

Yes, N7610. N6670 and N6260 can use MP3 files as ringtones. All you have to do is just to save the MP3 files in any folders (doesn't matter if it's in the phone or RS-MMC), it'll appear in your profiles as long as you have the MP3 files saved in it.

BTW, N6600 is not able to use MP3 as ringtones, I think it is not supported because N6600 was 1 of the earliest Series60. MP3 files as ringtones started after N6600.

has any body used the panasonic x800? i've been wondering if i should buy one. it definetly looks cool and is very thin. only a few mm thicker than the razr. it is series 60 which i cant live without any more. i saw it posted somewhere that it has voice digit dialing which is also something i am really interested in. a series 60 phone with voice digit dialing would be the perfect phone for me. especialy a thin one like the x800. any body have any hands on with one?
