sometimes when Im in a library and see a hot chick I'd take pictures of her

but the "click"
sound of the k700i when taking pics is too loud and quite annoying sometimes and would bother other people sitting close to me

is there a way to silence this

"pshttits" sound?

I tried lowering down the volume but it didnt work the loud "click" after taking shots is still there

that is the exact reason why you cant slience the click sound cause of people like you tryin to take photos of people without them knowing

LOL :D

I think that the newest firmware permits this already, not sure about it though... better to ask your local SE shop.

It depends what region your FW was made for. For some regions the FW allows user to silent the click sound e.g. by selecting meeting profile or setting the ring volume to zero. For other regions its not possible with any FW version. This is regulated by regional laws.

so does that mean if I cant turn it off I can do anything about it?

Or you could try this, which i guess its far more efficient and effective. Make urself a big sneeze which goes aaAAATChoooooo (At the mean time.. kachak!)

try to use cotton. :D

.... like when you're near a chick, pretend that you're cleaning your phone, that's why you happen to have a cotton swab in your hand.... then when the right moment strikes, cover the speaker with the cotton!! You'll see that it's very effective in muffling sound.

and in the eventuality that she hears you... she wont give it a second thought, why? coz you're just someone cleaning your phone... maybe testing it a bit, right?

hehehehe :D

cheers!

Or u couls try this, just take the picture of the girl who went pass and when she turned to check, give her this look .. "Who do you think you are? some pretty decent chick i would take pictures of? Don't even dream bout it! "

p.s. Just the look you might express with that kinda 'silent' message. "D

hahaaa ...

lol

just take a pic.

if she asks you :

"why did u take a pic of me ?"

pick her up !

" i thought i saw a suspicious item down there"

"huh?"

"Your dad is a terrorist"

"what !?!"

"cos you are the bomb!"

odds - 50/50 she slaps you or thinks tt you are a funny guy

Or simply say:" Would any sane man take pictures of girls who's not pretty?"

it's one of the most annoying things about the phone. that+the flap over the charger might make me go crazy, and i have to have them on for at least 9 months, maybe 12, maybe longer

commedecargons

Hey the flap's actually a very good thing, you'll get used to flipping it as time goes by, it actually protects the connectors from getting dirt and damage. Very good one. You'll hate that thing more if u're having a S700 ....

fabarati

why?

commedecargons

S700's dont actually fit into the bottom part, and weren't as well built as K700's (overall, K700 used better materials than S700). After some time, S700;s flap will be dangling around which makes u feel like cutting it out.

For me I like it as well. It seem to have expanded over time and doesn't fit properly. That bothered me so I trimmed the sides a bit, and now it fits likes its new again.

I know for a fact the earliest firmware you could silence, either by silent or change to meeting profile, or both, depends. Not sure about the newest one though, some say they can, and like me some can't, depends where you live.
There is one way I know, dial a number, preferably those toll free 1800 numbers where a computer voice answers the call (e.g. for this and that, dial 1, for blah blah, dial 2 etc...). Then use the camera button during the call... and snap away :D
