ok i have dicided that it is time to get a new mobile phone.

I want to get the nokia 7610 (any info on how good a phone it is would be a help) but it is not a 3G Phone. Would it be worth getting this phone, as i hear alot about 3G are all the phone companies switching to 3G soon ?

Or should i go for a 3G phone now instead ?

Whatever you like, matey mate.

Yeah, most companies do 3G now, but the 2G network isn't going to be switched off for a lot of years yet so don't worry about getting stuck with an expensive paperweight.

There's still some problems with some 3G networks anyway, I'm just about to put a new thread on about it so look out for that

Well, if you want to be futureproof, you could for the 6630 or the 6680...both awesome phones with 3G capabilities, although the latter is capable of video calling because it has two cameras onboard, whereas the 6630 only has one without the video calling stand...

it depends entire on where you live, but as carcomptoy says, if you want series s60 and be futerproof, go with a 6630 or a 6680

Exactly, that's why we're telling you to get a 6630 or 6680...already has 3G and most everything

No offense to anyone, but it bothers me when thread starters don't reply back to numerous people's replies after they've spent time and effort trying to help or solve their problem...please respond ABOU if you still want the help!

Well, I'm guessing you'd be on Vodafone 3G...idk actually I think the guy's just making you think that it's bad to use an unlocked phone because he wants you to buy an actual Vodafone phone lol...I say just go for the unlocked phone and go for the service...

Or go with a V800...being able to watch soccer highlights was probably the coolest thing ive ever seen on a cell phone. Witnessed it when i was in london

UGH but I'd hate to have such a branded phone as the V800...I mean it was brainwashed basically by Vodafone! I like how my 3650 was never branded by T-Mobile...:D
