s700i, s710a?

I live in the states and was very interested in this phone, does it matter which one I get as long as it is unlocked, or is the s700i the international one that was made for the states?

Doesnt matter which one you get, but if you have Cingular, get S710a. If you have T-Mobile, doesnt matter, although the S710a might be locked to Cingular, and then youd have to get it unlocked.
