What's the worst advertisement taglines u've ever heard of ?

Mines worst : "It's a Merc? No. Is it a Jaguar? No. It's a Hyundai. The new Sonata, getting you to where you want to be."

it's from a local Radio station here. And if i knew which idiot came out with that idea, i would have kick his ass out of Milkyway.... and imagine if he's some advertising firm's creative director..... i felt like kicking him even further.

The tv ads in SA are really intelligent but ive seen and heard some terrible ads on radio and tv.

i dont know what the tagline is but the product is called cillit bang. its like a cleaning product. When i first heard it, (i was half asleep, so i didnt see it) i thought it was part of a programme that takes the pi$$ out of crappy adverts...

but its awful. Cillit bang. noooo!

Whats worse is that my parents have it. Theyve bought like a box and its under the sink...

I like the phones for U ad - the one where the guy does the finger signals and the fat woman tries to copy it! lol. i think shes called fat mary or something. Its cool, and i can do it real quick *imitates guy* lol. im so bored.

im on easter break so i have the time to post...next week is still easter break but i got to come in cos my teachers wants upper 6 to finish the course.

Jose_RAM: Here in SA we have the same product but its called 'easy off bang' , they have terrible ads. Colgate also have bad ads with their beaver in the forest.

Cillit Bang was bad because it seemed to have been made by remedials.

Actually i think the worst tv adverts are the ones that advertise the CRAZY FROG and SWEETY THE CHICK! I HATE THEM SOOOOOOOOOOO MUCH.

not really worst ad tagline...but very funny
here in the philippines, they have a lot of ads which use a really strong filipino accent. one ad which aired a few months ago advertised sharp's new flat tv. the first line of the ad really got everyone's attention!
here's a transcript of what the ad says:
"tb. nine out op ten peepoll in da city hab tb....
sharp aprodee plat tb"
what the ad means:
"tv. nine out of ten people in the city have tv...
sharp aphrody flat tv"

its funny! theres this girl from the philippines in my school and she talks like that. ppl in my school dont think im from there because i dont sound it....hmmm.

Loads are dubbed arent they? like products from china/japan just get dubbed over in english or tagalog....

i like the washing up adverts there, i forgot what the brand was. its so corny

Hehe, its very rare that they dub ads in south africa (cause english is the main language here) but once in a while they put on these spanish infomercials with an english dub, and it just looks so funny.

even though english is the main language here (GB lol) we still have dubbed adverts, eg from germany.

Theres this one about thrush..or some kind of womens problems thing, any way they have a gel for it and they dubbed it ands soo funny.

do you have programmes in S.A. where they take the piss out of other countries adverts. We got a good one called tarrant on tv (some others too but thats the one i like) and they show adverts from everywhere.

I saw one advert from the philippines warning people not to eat dogs. omg.

they had one product called masculine off - removes protein stains . iits sooo embarrasing. like who'd go into a shop and but that. thats just wrong

we're not fortunate enough to have many intelligent adverts. mostly cheapy sales people advertisin their crap. I like adverts that make you go..."OMG WHAT WAS THAT? GOT TO SEE IT AGAIN" or " I just got to buy that thing".

i gound it at ebaum's world, didn't see it on a show, just assumed it belong there. Has anyone else seen "the Dave Chappelle show"? in america it's on comedy central, but we get it on mtv. it's so f***ing hillarious, i soil my pants every time i see it.

oooof! i think to have an advert in wales its only £3000 (gbp) not sure about the whole of gb.

The only bad adverts are on ITV - CH5 - MTV cos they have silly manufactureres trying to sell their products. Others either preview programmes really well like film trailers or have intelligent products.

yeh i hate ITV, always its adverts! i try not to watch ITV much, but they have some ok programs like the championship (i only watch it because the team i support is in the championship) but BBC is simply the best

MOM (previously SMTV LIVE) is their best programme. its for kids but the presenters are ace.

dik n dom in da bumgalow are gimps. I dont find them funny at all. theyre "trying too hard to be funny" presenters, not super silly messin about ones like in MOM.

However, they have a new programme called ask the parents i think, and theyre much better cos their audience is much older and they can act their age (kinda) more.

You guys ever saw the Heineken TV ad? which shows Jenniffer Aniston wasn't tall enough to get the beer and that guy turns out and....... ??? There's a Taiwanese version which shows the same thing, but turns out that Taiwanese guy wasn't tall enough either, and the beer was taken by someone else making that guy looked like some stupid ass...... it's a "Height Increasing Supplementary Pills" advert or something like that

I've fallen for the coke w/ lime commercial. The one with that annoying but oh so catchy "Put the lime in the Coke, you nut, make you feel better." Makes me wanna get up and dance each time i hear it. I think it has possessed me :eek:

here, LG has these add that say "dont i look hot in this phone" and its random hands holding up these really hideous and very crappy cdma phones (all LG phones suck, especially their GSM ones). I pisses me off everytime i see it.
