I won a black RAZR V3

Sometimes I love this job. Sometimes I *really* love this job.

I was at the Motorola press conference an hour ago to see the new CDMA RAZR V3 (MS550 for Korea). Very cool in its own right. Heck they even gave everybody a pair of Oakley Hatchet glasses.


But the really cool part?

I won one of 5 black RAZR V3s, the phone they gave to the oscar nominated folks. It also came with Mot's new Bluetooth car kit.

How freaking cool is that? God only knows what this could fetch on Ebay, but I think it will make a nice addition to my rare handset collection.

My friend Eric, who works for Rich at PhoneScoop, also won one. So did the guy from the Wall Street Journal that did that story on Rich and I. What a coup.

It is just very exclusive, that's all. It is the same as a regular RAZR other than the color.

Eventually the black model will be available in Europe, then it is coming to the US. I don't have dates for that, though.

That just makes me laugh...why does an American company release their own products later in its home market than abroad???

I realize there may not be that big a market as in Europe, but still...Americans still bought the RAZR. Why wouldn't they buy a cool-looking black one?

Nokia (European company) release most of their phones in Asia before anywhere else. I don't think it's as simple as "we like this country better so let's release the phone there first", there are business and economical reasons behind it
