does anyone know or had success with connecting a bluetooth headset with the palm tungsten w using the palm bluetooth sdio card? i know there have been those out there who have been able to use the card to connect to some bluetooth enabled phones, but i want to take it a step further. with the palm tungsten w being a gsm/gprs phone, the logical next step is to be able to use the device with a bluetooth headset. Any advice or information would be very helpful.

Give up.
T|W doesn't support the headset profiles. Your only chance is to use a Bluetooth dingle adapter for the headset jack, and that would be really bad for a PDA - who wants some thing dangling off of itheir PDA?
Would have been the only saving grace for that device, too. Forcing the use of a wired headset to make and take calls is crazy. Why bother putting the voice functionality in at all?

michael - thanks for the reply. what a waste on the part of palm the more i work with wireless technology the more i realize that some of these companies just don't "get it". although when i think about it, why would they give that to the cusumers? now that the treo 600's are out i guess they don't want to take away from the sale of this product. the way i look at it is that if palm would take the approach of making this possible with the tungsten w then that is just one more device that consumer has to choose from. therefore increasing your overall slice of the pie. i guess i must have failed economics.

The TW was designed long before the merger of Palm and Handspring.
The Treo's influence on the TW, if any, would have been the reason to include the voice support in the first place.
