Has anyone here tested a 1GB MMC in the 6255i. I have heard it won't work but others have said there is no problem. Nokia says nothing past 64MB, but they say that about all of the phones...

I bought a cheap generic 1GB MMC. The phone recognized the card and was able to display the amount of space still available, but saving objects was hit or miss. I got errors saving photos I took and moving files onto the phone(mp3s), but not all the time. It was very flaky. The one consistancy was when the errors started happening, they continued to occur. I have never gotten more than 2 MP3s transfered to the phone or more than one photo taken. I would then format the card and start over until errors occurred.
I then stuck the card in a camera I had sitting around and took a ton of pictures and had no problems with that card.
I had a tiny 8MB card laying around that I stuck in the phone and had no problems what so ever, so I don't think I'm having a general MMC/phone problem. But I'm not terribly convinced that the cheep generic 1GB MMC is just not up to par. At least not a level of quality that the phone demands.
Not sure this helps, kinda hoping other might have input. I'm not seeing a lot of discussion on the 6255i as of yet.
