Is a european ngage compatable with the bands in the US ?

the n gage is tri band so it should work on AT&T and T-Mob

Yeah, but you should probably roam on T-Mobile if you can because T-Mobile only uses the 1900 band, whereas Cingular (ATT doesnt exist anymore) uses 1900 and850 as well, and the N-Gages doesnt support 850.

Actually, because it lacks the 850MHz band, it might not work so well on AT&T (now merged w/Cingular) as it does on T-Mobile, which only uses the 1900PCS band.
