Nokia PC Suite Question

Does anyone know how to get the Nokia PC Suite icon out of the system tray in the task bar? There doesn't seem to be any option for turning it off, or for it not to appear every time you start windows. I have version 6.4.8

maybe you could use msconfig to put it off.
just go to "start" "execute" then write "msconfig" and press enter, a menu will open and then in the last onglet you could unquote (i'm not sure of my english sorry) the pc nokia suite app

I believe it is a permanent icon. There may be a setting in PC suite itself, but I dont think there is.

If you dont want it to start everytime windows starts, there are 2 ways to do this. First, you could reinstall the suite, then uncheck or disable any option that makes it start the same time as windows. Second, the other method, is to go to the windows startup menu - and disable it from there.

On win98se (not sure if its the same with XP), it's under start/programs/accessories/system tools/system information. Then go to the tools/system configuration/startup. You'll see that the pc suite is one of the apps there, just uncheck it.

Does PC suite 6.4.8 work on Windows 98se?? i dont think it does! Does it?

How to remove it from System tray permanently? THis is the way to do it..

Start, run, type MSCONFIG and press enter

Then in System configuration Utility go to "Startup" there uncheck "Launch Application 2" and "DATALA~1" then click apply and restart you machine!

It should work out!

By the way why do you want to remove it from the system tray? just hide it, i think that would be better!
