I've tried finding reviews for the A835 but haven't been too fortunate though the ones I have read have been positive. What phones from Nokia, Handspring, or Ericcson would you say are similar if any? Thanks for your help.

Well.... the Motorola A835 is 3G W-CDMA. The only thing remotely similar to it is the Nokia 6650, and that's only because of the form factor. Sony Ericcson don't have any 3G phones yet, nor do Handspring.
Nokia have also released the 7600 W-CDMA phone... the leaf as I call it. =P In any case neither of them are used on Three's networks, whereas the A835 is on Three only.

There's nothing you can really compare the A835 to at the moment. We need more handsets to be produced by various manufacturers before we can start comparing. =)
