Price is a bit too much! I am planning to sell my Nokia 6630 off! So that i can buy 6680 when it is released! WHen 6680 comes into the market, 1 GB RS DVMMC will be available for that price!

Dual-voltage will never be cheaper/same price as normal RS MMC.
I will probably get the 256Mb for the 6680. I have a 256Mb MMC on my 9500 and so far I'm very happy with that size.

there is no way a 1GB DVRSMMC would be available by the time the 6680 is out(in a month). it's more likely we'll be seeing a 512MB instead, whch btw i wanna wait and get that, but then again something tells me to go for te 256MB instead.
im confused :(

1GB DVRSMMC is only a matter of time, but "cheap" is a different story. I heard that DV card would always be more expensive than regular MMC, so you just might end up waiting for a loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong time, which by then i'm sure we would see something better than the 6630 besides the 6680), making your 6630 dated.

or nokia will change to some other new Card format, and it will just be the DV issue all over again..

i think Nokia's next format is SD, so we really shouldnt have a problem with that, unless it's DV-SD! :(

Me too! Although i am cramped for room i will continue to use the 64 MB card for my 6630! I wouldnt mind paying 59 pounds for a 256 MB card but additional shipping charges etc the price will be too high for me! I have decided that i am not going to buy the 6680. I think the upgrade for the 6680 is will most probably have SD!

See in ebay.in(baazee) i agree it costs Rs 3600 but they (sellers) also have to pay around 5 to 10% to ebay... i.e around Rs 360... i think in shops (in mumbai) u will surely get 256 MB DV-MMC for left than Rs 3000.. maybe even 2500 or less... i a month or 2 u will get it for Rs 1800...

I found a place in England which does the 128mb DV RSMMC for £16 inc. shipping so I think that is plenty for now, especially given a 256mb one costs three times the price. The phone is good but it's not nearly a competent MP3 player as the N-Gage and 6230, the memory card for me is more for photos and software/games. I did find a 256mb Kingston DV RSMMC (MMCMobile) for £24 inc. shipping but it says 'compatible with Nokia phones, *WILL NOT WORK WITH 6630*', any ideas guys?
Karim

Well, if it clearly states it won't work with the 6630, it won't ;)

I know that as well as you do, and am not prepared to risk it. I'm curious why all DV RS-MMCs aren't made the same or if it is in fact dual-voltage. I suspect its similar reasoning to why Kingmax full-size MMCs don't seem to like the N-Gage, etc.

Nice find, I'm going to order one right now. Kelkoo lists their 128mb one but not that 256mb one, so that's why I never saw it.
Postage is £1.20. Very cheap for a 256mb card, thanks for sharing that.

Personally I'm doing well on 128 MB... 24 songs, 100+ pics, 50+ videos, 100+ MID, about 8 applications and 40 MB free...
