I'm sorry, I know that it sounds weird but I would appreciate your comments on this. Actually my new 7610 just dropped off my hand yesterday onto the floor and after that, I started to think that this accident must have damaged my phone functionalities :( The fact is there is no physical evidence showing that the phone may have fallen on the floor (just a tiny little scratch on the right corner of the front side which can not be easily observed) but how can I be sure of that? Everytime I take a picture or listen to a music, I just anxiously look for an error happening, hoping that the quality of picture/music playback has not been changed/degraded after that accident. But I also heard that if some of the functionalities of the phone were supposed to damage, they would simply not work at all. What do you think? I wish there was a standard test/benchmark procedure which could be used in such situations. :(

If your phone still makes calls, takes pictures, records video, installs applications, and the loudspeaker is still working, how can it be damaged?

Thank you so much for your prompt reply, but the fact is I was just wondering maybe the picture quality or music playback quality (for example) could have been changed/degraded after the accident. The case you mentioned was the worst one, I suppose.

It cannot become worse. Either it works, or it doesn't.

It has a strong skeleton, mine has fallen 3-4 times , but still works fine.

Sound quality CAN suffer if the internal speaker or componemt level connector was damaged. Over time it may become lose from the initial dropping of it. Something that may have not happen over time had it not been dropped.

THOUGH - if your intial inspection results in fine sound quality etc, then you should be fine. But, dont expect it to be perfect, as it was dropped and tiny micro component connectors are fragile.

Actually a friend of mine dropped his 6230 and it all works fine, but the Bluetooth won't activate! Yes, after dropping it it knocked out the Bluetooth component, if he goes to Bluetooth and accesses the menu to switch it on and puts it to 'on' it just goes back to 'off' and does nothing! So I guess bumps and knocks can do strange things.
