I was thinking of getting this phone (the NA version) for my wife, along with the GPS shell. I understand the limitations of the phone (screen,etc) and what it has to offer.
My main question is about that shell. It says that the maps are downloaded via a subscription. Do you have to be online with GPRS whenever you use that map? I would think that kind of defeats the purpose if camping and GSM/GPRS is not available. I would imagine that one activates the 1 year subscription and then downloads a map for their area or area they are visiting and then it stays on the phone until deleted.
