My guess is that it depends on the quality of the mp3 that you are playing. They probably all have a similar type of output.

Lets take a scenario, wherein , i use standard headphones from the box and listen a song at 128kbps , and 44khz, there should be some difference in sound quality of these various devices !

N-Gage is inferior to P910 and iPod. But P910 and iPod have similar quality. I think the 7710 is like 6630, which is excellent, probably better than iPod quality.

I would say that the headphones that come out of any box, with any product, are bound to be crappy.
The headset with the phone is awful, crackly and cheap.
Being biased, I would say that the ipod, (with a decent set of headphones, say sennheiser mx500), with low compression is going to sound better than any phone, (Unless you want to take up all the memory on a couple of songs), because it is built for that purpose only.
A phone is going to be okay if you're not fussy about how the music sounds, but I have put a low compression on my 6630, and it is tinny to say the least.
But I'm a fusy bugger. And the fact you can play mp3s is a bonus, rather than a reason to get a handset.

Yeah, I mean if you want the ultimate MP3 phone, wait for the rumored iPod phone...then again, you might have to suffer the horrible Motorola UI:p
