EDGE IN UAE....it's coming! :)

I just spoke to an Etisalat engineer and he told me that EDGE is being tested in Dubai and Abu Dhabi, and soon enough they will be lanching it for the public!

This is great news considering this broadens my mobile phone selection for my next purchase! i was strictly going for 3G, but now EDGE is finally coming baby! :)

i don't care for video conferencing, all i want hi speed connection to surf the net, check email and download/upload files! :)

hell yes. i've been using the 6620 for a while now and its nice. not quit umts like you guys have but it beats the hell out of gprs. edge coverage in wichita is really good and the rest of the us is starting to fill in. using the opera browser is great with edge speeds and data transmisson is great as well.

Congrats, or what to say then.
They plan to upgrade to EDGE-funcionality in Sweden too. And here it is needed. It's only the biggest cities that are covered by 3G.

i talked to the techy guy againa, and he said EDGE is still in a testing phase, god knows when it would go live. I hope it doesn't take long.
