This may only apply to english gamers, but with the Sony PSP and Nintendo DS release dates imminent (mid march) which one, if any are you going to buy? Please give reasons etc. personally I like the PSP but the DS has some interesting features like the dual screen and touch screen etc

PSP seems overpriced to me, it's gonna be at least £50 more expensive from what I've been told.....and to me thats a lot, and with the DS I like the dual screen thing, I thought it would be a bit gimmiky, but after having seen videos of games on it, it actually is a great idea! slightly long than an SP, but you can still fit it in your coat pocket or big toruser pocket by the looks of it. Theres some on eBay already....I'm so tempted.........they come with warranty and all, but hmm. Maybe it's best to wait. (Oh and I'm not bias toward Nintendo, I prefer PS2 over the GameCube, although I prefer PC gaming over both).

PSP!! i think it's very different, PSP costs 2 DS over here in Malaysia~~therefore i guess they're marketing different groups. But i think the UMD disc for PSP is a joke, they shouldve use a normal mini-DVD....

PSP has more options out of the box. I am personally going to buy it. Though, the DS I have played with and its still quite the impressive graphics machine.

I do want the Gizmondo too.... more options and its basically the swiss army knife of communical convergence and entertainment. Believe it.™

Psp all the way. I already own both and have ridge racer on both of them. On DS it just about scrapes ps1 quality but on psp its like holding a Ps2 in your hands and has a really smooth frame rate compared to the ds's quick but jerky frame rate. The psp has amazing graphics. I also have Mario ds and dont see the point of the touch screen on that game. An analogue stick would have worked better. Ds is also really uncomfortable to hold after a while. If they release a Ds version zelda 64/majora's mask I may be more impressed but so far its the psp thats had that wow factor. The 2 screens of the Ds, touch screen or not dont compare to the 1 giant screen of the Psp.

Well, the PSP is by far the superior machine IMHO. But the PSP is also $250 to start whereas the DS is what $100 cheaper? It hink I will go for the PSP anyways but probably wait until there are some better games out. Does anyone know about MG-Acid? Or what else are you all thinking about getting on launch?

i love the psp all i can think about is it and clara mmmmmmmmmmmmm clara does anyone know the basic price when it is launched in england (march 18) because in japan it is 19800 yen (on the internet) and that is roughly £100 so it will probabkly be a lot more than that but it will fall to that price.... i hope

I love the touch screen on the ds but the games just look a lot better on the psp.

loading loading loading....

The games are much better and more plentiful on the DS.

PSP is only good for emulation/homebrew and movies.

Dude it comes down to what you want...

PSP - compress your own mpegs, get cracking games that take a while to load, nicer ergonmics, wider expandability, 16:9 viewing angle and much more. Use mine as a movie machine finishing a movie a day on the commute but only Tekken and Luminees see the light of day

DS - Got one for the GF and borrowed it allot - Oldschool look and feel to nearly every game, controls good but no variation in sensitivity, dual touch screen, mountain of old great games...

i beg to differ on the ergonomics thing...the psp is extremely uncomfortable to play on for a long time, at least for me. the joystick is too close to the edge of the system

I used to agree but since I have fitted the D-pad adjuster it has made things allot better - I can now dragon punch without using the joystick...

Ergonomic wise as in the DS is a block where the PSP is curved and allot more shapely..

I have had a Nintendo DS for 3 years now, and I play it almost everyday. There are always very good games available. And it's very easy to download them...I don't want to bother to burn a UMD for any new game!

Cheers guys
