I just brought a new samsung d500 and i was trying to upload java games to my phone, but the problem is i can't seem to get pass the stage where you choose host in the new connection wizard. A message pops up on my screen after 2 minutes of loading saying:
"Incoming Connection depend on the Routing and Remote Access service which was unable to start. For more information, check the system event log."
I searched the internet for help but can't find anything useful at all. Can anyone help me out with this?

I have the exact same problem. Strange thing is that Id worked before I changed my BT drivers from MS to Widcomm.
Have you found a solution yet ?

The only solution that worked for me is to use a different computer. It worked perfectly fine on a different computer which the services haven't been disabled. I found out that Routing and Remote Access service is dependable on NetBIOSGroup and Remote Procedure Call (RPC). But I haven't found a way to start the services after it's been disabled/stopped.

Isn't there a bug or something with the SP2 to XP that doesn't like the Widcomm drivers?

i found that if you goto Start>Run ...type services.msc and then in there make sure you have Remote Proceedure Call started...if its not you can click it and choose to start it.
After that if you retry the create new connection it should go through.
