my current phone is an lgvx10 and it does not have a sim card and is not GSM.

Will this be a problem for switching to the lg 4015 gsm? will it work for non-gsm??

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated...

Um, US Cellular is a CDMA network. A GSM phone, locked or unlocked, wont work. At all. Ever.

Yeah, it's like trying to get diesel to work in a gasoline engine...or vice-versa. Won't work...

you can switch your plan first to a gsm plan if your service provider offers gsm phones and plans. if they do, get the free gsm phone, unlock your lg 4015 gsm phone. then just switch your gsm sim card from your free phone to your lg 4015 gsm phone. i do this for customers all the time. if yor service provider does not offer gsm try to get new service with a gsm provider. remember you can take your existing number to your new service provider.
